May these songs of realization, as taught by Khenpo Tsültrim Gyamtso Rinpoche, from the timeless heart of genuine transmission among teacher, student, and sangha, in the Tibetan Buddhist tradition, be of limitless benefit to limitless sentient beings.

Released winter 2013, all proceeds benefit the translators of the individual songs - Ari Goldfield, Rose Taylor, Jim Scott and Michele Martin - in accordance with Khenpo Rinpoche's practice and instruction. Proceeds from Song of Machik go to Marpa Foundation per translator request.

To the Guru of the three jewels inseparable, Khenpo Tsültrim Gyamtso Rinpoche, the true heart of definitive meaning, I make this offering of sound-emptiness sound. To the mahaguru-prajna's unbearable compassion-thank you for these most precious teachings.

The sound? Dharma infused jazzy pop. The flavor? Tantric philosophy meets avantgarde music. Willow's most recent CD, Bowing to Venus, released winter 2005/6, features 11 original compositions written in collaboration with her band.

This eleven song cycle draws on the diverse influences of pop/alternative rock, bluesy jazz, soul, and world music. It is, by nature, a spiritual inquiry born of the transmutation of desire. Featuring vocals, guitar, piano/keyboard, percussion/drum kit, violin, cello, alto saxophone and soprano saxophone.

As a whole, the project is inspired by a veneration of the sacred feminine, resting within and illuminated by the view of dharmic wisdom.
